Our school was born from the desire of Mohamed Khalaf, a passionate Egyptian spearfisher, devoted freediving instructor and the only AIDA Master Instructor based in Hurghada, to embark on a mission to share the captivating beauty of the underwater world with both locals and tourists. He was soon joined in his journey by his French partner, ,a passionate traveler, master freediver and underwater sports enthusiast, and avid shark lover. As a result, HFA is a vibrant mix of cultures, a place where the art of freediving blends with a strong local identity and global exploration. Our ultimate goal is to foster and nurture a thriving community of freedivers, both locally and internationally, while upholding the highest standards of safety, instruction, and education in freediving. Experience the Red Sea unparalleled freediving conditions with crystal-clear waters with a visibility often exceeding 30 meters, warm water temperatures ranging from 23 to 30 degrees C year round. Great experience with Mohamed in a free diving session.After a pick up at the airport we went directly to Makadi bay for a complet course.First theory with a lot of useful explanations, then a short stretching sessions, gear preparation (everything is included with good quality gear).Then we had 1h30 of free diving in front of the beach in a cristal clear water. We did several exercises with progressive difficulty and ended with a free session on the reef to observe marine life.Everything is very professional and could be adapted to your level/needs.

I recently had the pleasure of completing the AIDA 2 course with Mohamed as my instructor and it was a great experience. I must admit I was not sure to expect before meeting Mohamed, but now when I’m on the other side I am just overwhelmed with the small tips and tricks he kept throwing at me. It is clear that Mohamed has such a deep understanding of free diving and spear fishing and he is a big inspiration. I hope to get another chance to visit and spend more time with Mohamed ;)I can highly recommend learning from him.

Had an amazing experience taking my AIDA2 course from instructor Mohamed, who helped me reached to the points where I’ve never imagined to be physically and mentally, in just two days when I was traveling in Hurghada. It was not just a training program but also an unforgettable journey exploring the beauty of free diving and the lovely community of it. I took this Course with Coach “Mohamed Khalaf” .. I think that he’s one of the most successful coaches in this career in HURGHADA , he was patient with me and he helped me to be confident , I’d like to think him so much ♥️
